Saeed Yahya Al-Sarmi

Mr. Saeed Yahya Al-Sarmi is a Supreme Court Lawyer in the Sultanate of Oman and serves as Senior Counsel at Baqi, Al Balushi & Co. Law Firm (B&Co).

He has more than 25 years of legal experience in criminal law, economic crimes, financial crime investigations, and litigation before all levels of courts in the Sultanate of Oman. He began his professional career with the Royal Oman Police in 2000, serving in the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations, where he held several senior positions, including Assistant Director of Economic Crimes Investigation and Head of Investigation Section, overseeing complex investigations involving banks, financial institutions, fraud, money laundering, and organized economic crimes. In 2004, he was awarded the Best Investigator Award in recognition of his outstanding achievements in combating forged credit card crimes.

Following the conclusion of his public service in 2017, he established Saeed Al-Sarmi Advocates, handling complex and high-profile legal matters. In 2026, he joined B&Co Law Firm as Senior Counsel, where he provides strategic legal guidance and supervises complex litigation and specialized legal matters.
